Jake was born in South Korea but moved to Australia when he was 9 years old.
He has a border collie named Layla, who was named after Eric Clapton’s song with the same name. Layla was born on October 31, 2014 and was previously their neighbor’s dog until Jake’s family adopted her.
In Australia, Jake was a Dwight School soccer team representative. His position was left wing forward. (source)
